The event will cover important and highly relevant topics with an emphasis on how Finance functions can best prepare for and thrive in an increasingly uncertain geopolitical and macroeconomic climate. It also presents a great opportunity to connect with peers across the Verdane portfolio, discuss common challenges, and share knowledge and experiences.

The day will be held at Hotel At Six in Stockholm, Sweden. Kindly note that guests are asked to arrange their own flights, transport and accommodation; costs are borne by each attending company/the company that you represent.

Bjarne Lie

Bjarne serves as Verdane’s Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer. In 2003, he launched what later became Verdane, by leading a spin-out from Verdane’s predecessor firm Four Seasons Venture.

At Verdane, he has been instrumental in building companies such as Banqsoft, Chipcon, Easypark, Kappa Bioscience, Polytech, Resman, and Wireless Maingate.

Bjarne had joined Four Seasons Venture’s Oslo office in 2001 from PaperX, a venture-backed B2B marketplace backed by among others Apax and Insight Partners, of which he was co-founder and COO. Bjarne also has scale-up experience from the oil & gas sector with Fountain Oil. He was formerly a consultant at McKinsey & Company in London and a research associate at the European University Institute in Florence. In addition to his role at the helm of Verdane, Bjarne is a Board member of the Norwegian Venture Capital Association and serves on the European Council of The Nature Conservancy.

Education: Bjarne holds an MBA with high distinction as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School (USA) and an MA in European Integration from the University of Oslo (Norway)/European University Institute Florence (Italy).

Erik Nordlie

Erik joined Verdane Elevate in the Oslo office in 2024 as interim CFO. At Verdane, he focuses on supporting our portfolio companies in building data-driven, best-in-class finance functions that enhance organizational performance and enable sustainable growth.

Prior to Verdane, Erik has since 2016 held a range of CFO and finance director roles in Visma, Ironstone, and twoday. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years with Mamut Software in sales and marketing, and three years as an IT consultant and project manager with Visma Consulting, bringing a well-rounded perspective to his finance leadership roles.

Erik holds an Executive Master of Management from Handelshøyskolen BI in Norway and a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University of New Technology in Australia.

Eoin Gallagher
Finance Manager Elevate

Eoin joined Verdane in 2024 as a finance manager. He is part of the Elevate team where he focuses on due diligence processes.

Prior to joining Verdane, Eoin spent four years with KPMG’s Transaction Services team in Stockholm where he supported clients with financial due diligence.

Eoin holds a MSc in Finance from Stockholm School of Economics and a BSc in Economics from the University of York.

Kristofer Gravning

Kristofer joined Verdane’s Elevate team in Oslo as a Director in 2024. He focuses on supporting Verdane’s portfolio companies in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives.

Prior to Verdane, Kristofer was EY’s Nordic Lead for Sustainability Strategy and Transformation, assisting large listed companies and SMEs with strategy, double materiality assessments, climate risk, transition planning and CSRD. He has experience in energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, waste, mining and metals, and the textile industry. From 2014 to 2019, he worked at Adam Smith International on climate change and public sector governance, and from 2019 to 2021 at Aleron on social impact strategy and business improvement for foundations and non-profits. Kristofer brings more than 10 years of experience.

Kristofer holds an MA in International Relations and Modern History from the University of St Andrews.
